Kwara State Government is to organize a Monthly Media Chat aimed at ensuring regular engagement between the government and the people on its activities, policies, and programmes.
State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bolanle Olukoju announced this at the conference room of Kwara State Ministry of Finance, Ilorin, the State Capital.
Hon. Olukoju emphasized that the two-day briefing is a vital platform for ensuring accountability, transparency, and open communication between the government and the public.
She noted that Heads of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) would provide comprehensive updates on their activities and accomplishments for the last quarter of 2024.
According to her, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration remains committed to keeping the public informed about its policies and projects across various sectors in Kwara State
The Commissioner also seized the opportunity to disclose that, the briefing would feature presentations from the Special Assistant on Drug Abuse and the Senior Special Assistant on Community Development, reflecting the government’s approach to social welfare and grassroots engagement.
Hon. Olukoju explained, that in a continuous efforts to bridge the information gap and deepen public engagement, the State Ministry of Communications will soon launch a Monthly Media Chat to discuss further and interact with the public on government activities and policies.
She commended the MDAs for their dedication to service and urged them to deliver clear, concise, and impactful presentations
The Commissioner also appreciated media professionals for their roles in disseminating timely and accurate information to the public.
Hon Olukoju therefore appealed to participants to seize the opportunity to strengthen public trust and reaffirmed their collective commitment to the growth and development of Kwara State.
