National Association of Mass Communication Students (NAMCOS), Kwara State Polytechnic Chapter, has mourned the death of an Alumnus of Mass Communication Department, Alfa Imam Abubakar Eleru who passed on at the early hours of today.
This is contained in a condolence message signed by its Public Relations Officer, Sanni Abdullahi in Ilorin
NAMCOS said Eleru was a graduate of Mass Comm Class of 2024 was a devout Muslim who lived a life worthy of emulation
The Students Association described the deceased as humble, accommodating and a revered religious leader.
It pointed out that throughout the ND and HND, the deceased played a significant role in driving forward the Muslim Association of Mass Communication Students (MAMCOS), and Ilorin Emirate Students’ Union (IESU), Kwara Poly Chapter respectively.
The Mass Communication Association noted that late Eleru was respected Man of the people, known for his comical talks and kind gestures in and outside the Polytechnic.
The students said he was an attendee at the recent MAMCOS Maolud and Orientation Programme as the prospective Corp member left the earth after a brief illness.
The students elucidated that Eleru’s death is a great loss to the Department of Mass Communication MAMCOS and NAMCOS in general as his impacts and legacies would always be remembered.
NAMCOS prayed Almighty Allah to forgive Late Eleru’s shortcomings, grant him a repose, peaceful rest and make Al-Janat-l-fridous his abode
