Prostate Cancer: Leah Foundation Commences Screening, Targets 20,000 Kwarans

A leading Non-Governmental Organisation in Kwara State, Leah Foundation has  commenced screening of Kwarans for prostate cancer as part of its activities on cancer awareness initiative
Chief Executive Officer and Founder of the Foundation, Deaconess Omolewa Ahmed in a chat with journalists in Ilorin during an enlightenment campaign in preparation for 2025 World Cancer Day pointed out that her foundation is screening no fewer than  twenty thousand men this year

Deaconess Ahmed who is the immediate past First lady of the state said her foundation is in partnership with the state government to screen civil servants.

 

She emphasized that the need for early detection as a way in preventing the deadly cancer disease

 

The Founder encouraged everyone above the age of forty years to consider adequate screening being the cheapest means to avoid the danger that comes with treatment and eventual death of victims.

 

On the  Foundation birthed in 2012, Deaconess Ahmed explained that the initial focus was majorly centered on women and children  as the scope of the foundation now expanded to cancer sensitization
