Sen. Mustapha Announces Date For Empowerment Programme

Senator representing Kwara Central, Saliu Mustapha, has announced Friday, February 28, 2025, as the date for the much awaited empowerment programme
This is aimed at supporting beneficiaries who have undergone various training sessions facilitated by his office.
Senator Mustapha’s Aide, Barrister Abdulkareem Alabi, announced this while featuring on an Ilorin-based radio station, Sobi FM, Ilorin
Barrister Abdulkareem said the initiative is designed to equip trained individuals with the necessary tools and resources to establish themselves.
According to him, this programme is targeted mainly at beneficiaries who have acquired different skills through various training sessions facilitated by Senator Saliu Mustapha.
He pointed out that it is not just about distributing items but about ensuring these individuals can sustain themselves and contribute meaningfully to society.
Barrister Abdulkareem also linked the initiative to the agricultural transformation agenda of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration
The Aide maintained that the Senator’s intervention complements the state government’s efforts.
Barrister Abdulkareem explained that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has placed emphasis on agriculture and skills development as key pillars of economic growth.
He stated that as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, Senator Mustapha is playing his part in reinforcing these efforts through direct interventions.
Barrister Abdulkareem noted that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is expected to grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour.
The event is also expected to attract top government officials, party leaders, and key stakeholders in from within and outside of Kwara State.
