Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, has criticized his successor, Siminalayi Fubara, for showing up uninvited at the Rivers State House of Assembly Quarters.
Speaking at a media chat in Abuja on Wednesday, Barrister Wike insisted that the Martins Amaewhule-led Assembly should have given Fubara permission before he arrived.
He said Governor Fubara should have waited for approval before visiting, especially after demolishing the Assembly Complex in December 2023
This came after Fubara was locked out of the Assembly Quarters when he came to re-present the 2025 Budget as directed by the Assembly.
This followed the Supreme Court’s February 28 ruling, which recognised Amaewhule as the Speaker.
Governor Fubara told reporters at the scene that he had informed Amaewhule about his visit.
