Kwara United has dismissed circulating reports claiming that a senator sponsored free entry for fans to watch today’s NPFL Matchday 31 clash against Nasarawa United.
The Club clarified that the Kwara State Government had already approved free entry for the match.
In a statement issued by the Club Chairman, Mr. Kumbi Titiloye, through the General Manager, Mallam Bashir Badawiy, the club emphasized that no individual, group, or senator funded free access for spectators.
The match is set to take place this afternoon at 4 PM at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl, George Inih Stadium, Ilorin.
Mallam Badawiy urged all football lovers and supporters to take advantage of this opportunity and turn up in large numbers to cheer the Harmony Boys to victory.
He also expressed gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and Sports Commission Chairman, Coach Bola Magaji, for their steadfast support of sports development in the state.
Fans are encouraged to mobilize, fill the stadium, and create an electrifying atmosphere as Kwara United aims for a crucial victory in this important fixture.
Meanwhile, following the recommendations reached at a stakeholders’ meeting held at the Kwara State Sports Commission Conference Room on Tuesday March 25, members of the public are hereby informed that management have decided to throw open all Kwara United FC home matches till the end of the season.
A statement by the Club Secretary, Prince Wale Obalola titled ” No Gate Fee Kwara United Matches Till End of Season” said the Management requests all football stakeholders and fans to come out en-masse to support their darling team to the end at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl of the Agbazika Innih Stadium Ilorin.
