Kwara’s Amirul-Hajj, Oba Alebiosu Commends NAHCON On Strategic Plan For 2025 Exercise

National Hajj Commission [NAHCON] has been commended for its strategic planning for the success of Hajj 2025.
A 1st Class Traditional Ruler in Kwara State and Amirul-Hajj appointed to lead Kwara State Pilgrims to this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia, His Royal Majesty, Olupo of Ajassepo Oba Ismail Bolaji Yahaya Alebiosu gave the commendation while addressing intending pilgrims from Kwara State at the Orientation and Enlightenment Programme organised by the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at the Board Secretariat in Ilorin today.
The Traditional Ruler who is also a Lawyer, urged NAHCON to do its best to ensure hitch-free Hajj this year.
Earlier, the Chairman of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board Professor Mas’ud Mahmud Jimba had commended the Kwara State Governor Mal. Abdulrahman Abdukrazaq for the appointment of a well-qualified Traditional Ruler who he said is highly religious and knowledgeable to lead Kwara State Pilgrims to Hajj this year.
Professor Jimba also praised the Governor for meeting all the needs of the State Pilgrims Board to take good care of their Pilgrims.
Also addressing the Pilgrims, the Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Pilgrims Welfare Alh. Abdulsalaam Abdul-Quadir admonished the Pilgrims who have fully paid their Hajj fares to submit their International Passports without further delay for visa issuance by the Saudi Embassy for the trip. He warned that any delay in their passport submission might affect their travelling negatively.
Alhaji Abdul-Qudir urged those who have certain balance to complete their full payment to do so within few days otherwise their passports would not be processed and deposits would be refunded.
The Executive Secretary said Pilgrims from Kwara State have paid the sum of N8.5 million each as this year’s Hajj fares and that 2,150 Pilgrims are being expected to perform this year’s Hajj from Kwara State adding that their flight to Saudi Arabia with Max Air is tentatively been planned to begin from General Tunde Idiagbon International Airport Ilorin anytime from May 12th.
Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria reports that the programme also featured special prayers for all the Pilgrims to make the spiritual journey easy for them.
It was led by the Imam Imale of Ilorin Sheikh Abdullahi Abdul-Hameed and other leading Imams in Ilorin.
The second orientation and Enlightenment of Pilgrims has been fixed for coming Sunday 27th April at the same venue.
It would feature Hajj rites, duties, and responsibilities to be practically conducted by the State Grand Kadi Hon. Justice ‘Lateef Kamaludeen.
The impressive ceremony was attended by some Traditional Rulers including Olupako of Share HRH Oba Haruna Olawale Sulaiman Usman Adegbite II and HRH Abdulrazaq Afolabi – Olojoku of Ojoku.
