As the His Royal Highness the Emir of Ilorin Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, celebrates his 85th Birthday, the Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria [MMWG] has extolled the virtues of the Eminent Traditional Ruler describing as a ‘Father for All’
The Group maintained that for over the three decades of the Emir’s reign in which he has also being serving as Chairman – Council of Emirs, Oba and Chiefs of Kwara State, the State has benefitted from his wisdom, kindness and patriotism.
This was contained in the Press Statement issued today by the Group’s National Coordinator, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim.
Reviewing the development that Ilorin Emirate has witnessed as his leadership progresses, the Group described the remodeled Ilorin Ultra Modern Central Mosque, on-going remodelling of Ilorin Eid-Praying Ground and several Public and Private Universities established as well as several infrastructural facilities that abound in Ilorin today are few of many developments that credits his leadership.
The Group stated that the support and encouragement the Emir has given to Community Associations, Individuals and Organizations have gone a long-way in promoting educational and social development of Ilorin Emirate indigenes in particular and Kwara State as a whole.
The Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria said the Emir who is highly educated is using his background in reaching-out to Ilorin Emirate and other Kwara State indigenes on the importance of industrialization of the State that would propel economic development surely to reduce unemployment among the youth.
The Emir’s admonition according to the Group help many children of the under-priviledged to secure sound education through scholarships and educational sponsorship.
MMWG posited that the spiritual development of all and sundry in Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State as a whole is as a result of Emir’s dedication and commitment to religious and ethical values which has made Kwara State one of the most peaceful states in Ñigeria.
The Media Group therefore prayed for long-life and sound health for the the Monarch, urging all truly patriotic citizens of the State to continue to pray for the well-being of the Emir and all the Traditional Rulers in the State in particular and Nigeria as a whole.
