Vice Chairman, KAM Holding Limited, Dr Iyaduni Bolanle Yusuf has tasked government at all levels continue to encourage more investment in manufacturing to generate more employment.
Dr Yusuf gave this indication while receiving participants of Senior Course 47 2025 students of the Armed Forces Staff and Command, Jaji who were on study tour to the Company.
The visit is themed āHarnessing Grassroots Intelligence for Enhanced Internal Securityāto encourage Intelligence Gathering through Grassroots Community Engagement, as Local Intelligence can detect early signs of potential threats.
Represented by the General Manager, Corporate Services, Mr Abdulfatai Adeyemi, she expressed optimism that Nigeria would be better off with the help and full assistance of government in the Steel manufacturing sector.
The Vice Chairman maintained that industrialization could enhance national security through of job opportunities for teeming unemployed and appreciated the Nigerian Army for their visit to KAM holding Limited facilities.
Dr Yusuf observed that the tour to their facility would further expose student soldiers to the numerous processes involved in the manufacturing of Iron Steel Products and further build their confidence on the need to appraise the campany’s efforts in nation-building processes.
She saluted the courage of the current government particularly in policy formulation to save the naira, stem the tide of inflation and stabilize the economy.
Responding, Team Lead, Colonel Usman Hashim Muhammad stated that the environmental visit is part of curriculum of the institution to expose the soldiers to industrialization towards fighting unemployment to boost security of the nation.
Colonel Muhammad described the roles KAM Holdings in employment generation as enormous having employed huge number of people particularly females.
The Team Lead said he never new there is such gigantic industry in Nigeria not to talk of Kwara and lauded Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his determination in combating security in the state.
Also, speaking, Liaison Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Liadi pointed out the set of student soldiers that visited KAM Holding Limited is one of the nine groups undergoing similar tours Nationwide.
Lieutenant Colonel Liadi explained that the visiting student soldiers are expected to conduct research relating security and write reports to equip them with modus oprandi in extinguishing insecurity in the land
