A new hand-pump borehole has been donated to the people of Apataiki Village, off Igboowu-Idofian road in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The borehole was donated by Lions International (Ilorin Central Lions Club), in collaboration with other esteemed donors, including Ifelodun Local Government.
Commissioning the borehole project, President of Ilorin Central lions Club, Lion Dr. M. S. Adeyemi was excited for its successful completion.
Lion Adeyemi described The Lions International as an Humanitarian Club that helps the needy in the society.
According to him, this hand pump borehole will greatly benefit the community by providing access to clean water, improve health and quality of life.
He said his club, proud to partner with Ifelodun Local Government and other donors to make this project a reality.
Lion Adeyemi therefore urged the state government, corporate organisations and individuals to join Lions Club International in its passion to make the world peaceful and worth Living inline with their mantra “Where there is a need, there is a lion, Service First.
Present at the commissioning were Executive Chairman, Ifelodun Local Government, Hon Femi Yusuf, Onikoko of Koko, Kabiyesi Alatanda of Atanda, Olowu of Igboowu and Baales of various communities, and Founder, Atiba University Oyo and Lions International Club members.
