Dr. Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe Foundation has awarded full academic support to Garba Mubarak Bukola, who scored 362 in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Mubarak, a student of the University of Ilorin Senior Secondary School, is among the top scorers nationwide in this year’s Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination.
In recognition of his outstanding performance, the immediate past Senator representing Kwara Central and current Chairman of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe, through his foundation, unveiled a comprehensive support package to aid Mubarak’s academic journey.
The support includes Financial Aid of ₦500,000 deposited into a dedicated education account to support his University tuition and academic needs.
The beneficiary also got Digital Tools presented with a brand new HP laptop to enhance his access to educational resources and IT skill development.
The student is also going to have English Language Coaching, recognizing a relatively lower score in English (68), as the foundation has arranged free remedial classes to boost his language proficiency.
He is having Post-UTME Preparation to be enrolled in coaching classes to strengthen his chances of excelling in the upcoming post-UTME exams.
Also he going to engage in Career Mentorship under Dr. Aishat Tayo Abubakar of the Department of Architecture, University of Ilorin, and is receiving professional academic counselling to help choose a suitable engineering discipline.
Responding, the beneficiary, Garba Mubarak Bukola, who aspires to study Mechanical Engineering, expressed gratitude for the opportunity.
His mother, Madam Taibat Garba, and uncle, Mustapha Garba, were present at the Foundation’s office at Alaanuku House, Okolowo Expressway, Ilorin, during the presentation. They both thanked Senator Oloriegbe for his vision and generosity.
Established in 2021, the DIYO Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on human capital development in education and healthcare.
It was inaugurated by the Former President of the Nigerian Senate, Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, during a visit to Kwara State.
