At the recently concluded 65th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) held in Ilorin, Kwara State, a fresh wave of leadership was inaugurated to steer the Association toward a more impactful future. At the helm of this new leadership is renowned industrialist and business statesman, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, mni, OON, who ascended as the National President in accordance with the Association’s constitution. Supporting him is a cadre of distinguished professionals, including Alhaja Madinat Adigun-Oladotun, who now takes on the strategic role of the National Public Relations Officer (PRO).
A seasoned communications expert, brand strategist, and serial entrepreneur, Alhaja Madinat’s appointment marks a strategic shift in the Association’s commitment to amplifying its voice within Nigeria’s economic landscape. Her portfolio as PRO is expected to infuse a new energy into NACCIMA’s public relations machinery, reimagining how the Association engages its members, the government, and the broader business community.
With a solid academic background in Mass Communication from the prestigious University of Ilorin, Alhaja Madinat is a certified member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), and the Advertising Practitioners Association (APA). Her professional footprint reflects deep-rooted expertise in media communications, public affairs, and strategic stakeholder engagement.
Alhaja Madinat is the Managing Director of Trendsville Media Limited, an indigenous PR and communications firm with presence in Ilorin, Abuja, and Lagos. Under her leadership, the firm has grown to become a formidable player in the media and publicity space, managing high-profile branding and communication campaigns for businesses, institutions, and civil society groups. Her model of leadership emphasizes creativity, integrity, and youth empowerment, often opening the firm’s doors to young talents in search of mentorship and career pathways.
Her entrepreneurial passion extends beyond media. She is also the founder and CEO of Bayt El Jamal, a niche retail brand specializing in modest Islamic fashion and lifestyle products. Her business model speaks to a broader philosophy: that economic empowerment, particularly for women and young people, is essential to societal development.
Alhaja Madinat is not new to the Chamber movement. A longstanding and active member of the Kwara Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KWACCIMA), she served previously as the Chamber’s Public Relations Officer. Her tenure was notable for its innovation, especially in increasing the Chamber’s visibility through consistent publications and engagement strategies.
Her elevation to the national executive of NACCIMA is seen by many as a well-deserved recognition of years of committed service, professionalism and innovative thinking. Under the visionary leadership of Engr. Jani Ibrahim, she is expected to bring her wealth of experience to bear in improving the Association’s public image and fostering stronger relationships with stakeholders across Nigeria and beyond.
More than just a media executive, Alhaja Madinat is a compassionate leader, a mentor to aspiring professionals, and a passionate advocate for inclusive development. Her new role at NACCIMA marks not only a personal milestone but also a promising chapter for the Association’s public relations strategy which is expected to manifest in a much improved brand visibility for the Association.
