Gov Abdulrazaq Congratulates Muslims,  Declares Tomorrow 1447 Hijrah Holiday

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has congratulated people of the state, especially the Muslims, on the new Hijrah Year, 1447 AH.
This is contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye in Ilorin
The Governor, meanwhile, has again approved that tomorrow first day of Muharram 1447, be observed as a statewide holiday in commemoration of the new Islamic calendar.
He urged the Muslim community to reflect on the significance of the Hijrah in the life of the community and larger human society.
The Governor called for renewed commitment to excellent human relations, peaceful coexistence, dialogue, and mutual respect.
According to him, Hijrah teaches personal and collective sacrifice for good causes and abandonment of everything that is antithetical to peace, harmony, and social justice.
Governor Abdulrazaq prayed that the new Hijrah Year brings goodness and abundance, peace and increased security, enduring happiness, and renewed faith to all families in Kwara State and Nigeria.
