Ten Years old Wilson Onasanya of Lightway Schools, Ilorin, will be unveiling a mathematic book he authored on Thursday, July 24, 2025, by 10:00am at the school premises.
The book unveiling is among the activities lined up by the school to round up this year’s academic session, which is usually known for showcasing the academic and creative achievements of pupils, colorful display of talents and accomplishments. This year’s edition will feature cultural performances, drama presentations, academic excellence awards, and the celebration of student milestones.
According to the Proprietress of the School, Mrs. Modupe Erinoso, “major highlight of the event will be the official unveiling of the school’s pioneer book author, 10-year-old Wilson Onasanya, a Primary 5 pupil of the school. Onasanya has written a book titled “My Adventure with Numbers,” a personal account of his growing love for mathematics.
Giving further insights about the book, “the book chronicles Onasanya’s transformation from a curious learner to a passionate mathematics enthusiast, inspired by late-night lessons with his mother. What began as a simple bonding routine quickly became a source of academic excellence, ultimately earning him the nickname “Maths King” among his classmates, Mrs. Erinoso, concluded.
Wilson, is a son to Professor Samuel Adebisi Onasanya of University of Ilorin, Department of Educational Technology.
The event will also serve as an opportunity for the school community to reflect on the academic year, reward outstanding pupils, and reinforce its mission of nurturing excellence through quality education.
