The invasion of Babanla Communities last Friday has been described as a rude shock to the entire people of Kwara State, particularly the good people of Ifelodun Local Government Area.
Igbaja community leader and a Star Associate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr Oluwatoyin Alabi in a statement signed by head of his media team, Christie Doyin, condemned the broad-daylight, daredevil attack which claimed several lives.
Dr Alabi noted that the swift and coordinated response of security agencies, ably supported by the dedicated local vigilantes, prevented what could have been an even greater tragedy.
He commended the Kwara State Government, and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for the prompt intervention that ensured the timely mobilisation of security operatives to the scene.
According to him, this decisive action helped save lives and restore calm to the affected communities.
The Community Leader recognized the security meeting held at the Palace of Elese of Igbaja where proactive measures were put in place to secure their homeland.
He posited the the vigilantes have been placed on red alert, equipped with the necessary tools and support to remain combat-ready and to apprehend any fleeing bandits.
Dr Alabi therefore reassured people of their safety and encourage everyone to go about their normal activities without fear, as all security measures are firmly in place.
