Governor Abdulrazaq Tasks Citizens To Always Engage In Constructive Feedback On Government’s Activities To Serve Them Better

 Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has tasked citizens to always engage in constructive feedback on government’s activities to serve the state better.
Addressing a citizens’ engagement session on 2026 budget in Bode Saadu, Moro Local Government Area, the Governor urged citizens to provide useful information on what their needs are.
He said the government is open to being told what to improve upon.
He described budget as a statement of intent which focuses on the direction the government is headed in the financial year.
Governor Abdulrazaq maintained that as an administration, he has made it a duty to constantly harvest the views of the public and specific areas of focus for the coming financial year.
According to him, citizens engagement  serves as a barometer to know what the public needs and how resources should be allocated across the state.
Governor AbdulRazaq  commended the participants for their patriotic spirit and commitment to the kwara project.
Also Speaking, Commissioner for Planning and Economic Development, Dr Mary Arinde, explained that the citizens’ engagement is a compelling necessity for effective governance.
Dr Arinde maintained that the event was geared towards to listening and responding to the needs of the public, promote accountability, and encourage citizens to participate in the decision-making processes.
In his submission,  Ohoro of Shao, Oba  Obalowu Atolagbe, applauded the historic feat of Governor AbdulRazaq on gender balance in government, development of basic infrastructure, and human capital development.
He requested the government to construct more township roads in the town and rehabilitate the Shao/Sobi water project.
In his remark, Prince Olatunji Adebara of Jebba called on the government to establish a School of Nursing at Jebba to deepen access to quality healthcare service.
Director of Planning, Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, Samsudeen Aregbe, who gave a breakdown of the budget performance for 2024 and 2025 fiscal years, submitted that the administration has performed excellently.
