Kwara State Contingent to this year National Youth Games has arrived Asaba Delta State Capital.
This is contained in a statement by Press Secretary, Kwara State Sports Commission, Saheed Abdullahi.
The Statement said contingent led by the Director of Sports, Mallam Ibrahim Oladele Bako comprised of Athletes, Coaches, Sport Secretaries, Medical and other officials landed safely last night.
It said the Kwara Athletes are battle ready to compete in 24 out of 37 sport events including squash, table tennis, tennis, swimming, wrestling, Judo, Dart power lifting among others
Activities of the youth games schedule indicates that Tuesday and Wednesday are the arrival of contingents across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory while the screening of the athletes to hold tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the opening ceremony of the National Youth Games is slated for Friday at Stephen Kehshi Stadium Asaba to signal the commencement of games in divergent sporting centres in the state.
