President Bola Tinubu today swore in Dr Bernard Doro and Dr Kingsley Udeh as new Ministers, restoring Federal Executive Council representation for Plateau and Enugu states.
The brief ceremony held at the State House, Abuja, preceded the first FEC meeting since July.
Dr Doro, a Clinical and Pharmaceutical Expert With UK practice experience, replaces Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, who left the Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction Ministry after becoming APC National Chairman.
He is from Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State and has worked across medicine, pharmacy, and health systems management in the UK.
Also, Dr Udeh, formerly the Attorney-General of Enugu State and recently elevated to Senior Advocate of Nigeria, takes over the Innovation, Science and Technology portfolio following the resignation of Uche Nnaji in October.
Their induction brings the total number of ministers in Tinubu’s cabinet to 48.
During the meeting, the Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, reported renewed interest in Nigeria’s financial markets, noting the oversubscription of the recent $2.35bn Eurobond.
He said ongoing economic reforms are aimed at boosting investment, improving fiscal management, and expanding productive capacity.
President Tinubu reiterated the administration’s focus on strengthening the economy, improving national stability, and delivering inclusive development.
