Award: Coach Mogaji Reaffirms Govt Commitment To Sports Renaissance

The Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and the Executive Chairman, Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bolakale Adisa Mogaji have been honoured for their sterling achievements in the sport sector.
The award was bestowed on the duo by the Organizer of Community Football Tournament in Isin Local Government Area of the State, Oyelowo Omotayo Olasunkanmi.
Receiving the award, Executive Chairman, Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bolakale Adisa Mogaji reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment in ensuring sports renaissance.
He said sport is the only unifying factor that brings people together devoid of political, religious and tribal sentiments.
The Sports Juggernaut called on education stakeholders to pave the way for sports development as a way of curbing moral decadence among younger ones.
He applauded the organizer of the Football Tournament, Oyelowo Omotayo Olasunkanmi, for his determination towards sport growth and urged him to register his club with the Kwara State Sports Commission to attract financial support from the State Government.
Earlier, the organizer of the tournament, Hon Olasunkanmi Omotayo Oyelowo had enumerated Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s efforts to the survival of sports in the state.
Hon Oyelowo who described Coach Mogaji as a pillar behind successful hosting of four football competitions in Isin Local Government four years ago commended him for his tenacity of purpose.
Also Speaking, a former Council Chairman in Isin Local Government, Engineer Tunde Fadipe noted that the purpose of the visit was to thank the Executive Chairman for his fatherly support to sport activities in Isin Local Government.
Engineer Fadipe explained that Isin residents value people working tirelessly to the betterment of their community and wished Coach Mogaji well as he pilots the affairs of the Commission.
In his remark, former Director of Sports in the state and Chairman Isin Local Football Council, Dr Isaac Olaitan Oloruntoba, chronicled efforts of Isin and its environs in exploring sports for community engagement to eradicate social vices among the youth.
Other awardees are Coach Seyi Oyinlola; Former Director of Sports, Dr Isaac Olaitan Oloruntoba; Mrs Yemisi Monisola Makanjuola; Alhaji Owolabi Wopa; Hon Olumide Awolola Ayokunle; Kayode Bankole and the current Director of Sports, Mallam Ibrahim Oladele Bako.
