Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria (ACHPN), Kwara State Chapter has expressed deep sorrow and profound concern over the tragic massacre that occurred on Tuesday 3rd February, 2026 in Woro and Nuku communities of Kaiama Local Government Area, Kwara State.
The Association in a Condolence Message in Ilorin described the incident as unfortunate and painful
ACHPN frowned that the grave tragedy claimed the lives and properties of innocent citizens, including one of its esteemed members, who was dedicated to the service of humanity and community health.
The statement noted that the loss is deeply distressing and has left the Association, the health sector, and the entire state in mourning.
On behalf of our members across Kwara State, ACHPN expressed heartfelt condolences to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, the Emir of Kaiama, the families of all the victims, the bereaved family of its fallen member, and indeed the entire people of Kwara State over this irreparable loss.
The Association sincerely commended the prompt and decisive response of the Kwara State Government in addressing this unfortunate incident.
The Association appreciated the support and concern shown by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, towards restoring peace and ensuring the safety of lives and property.
It urged members of the public to remain vigilant, security-conscious, and to cooperate fully with government and security agencies in combating all forms of insecurities within our communities.
ACHPN prayed Almighty God grants eternal rest to the souls of the departed, comforts the bereaved families, and restores lasting peace to Kaiama Local Government Area, Kwara State, and our nation at large.
