IMAN Calls For Price Control Of Essential Commodities As Ramadan Approaches

Islamic Missionaries Association of Nigeria IMAN has called on government at all levels to work out modality for price control of food stuff and other essential commodities as holy month of Ramadan approaches.
Vice Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi made the call at a Press Conference to herald annual Ramadan Lecture series held at IMAN Centre, Ilorin.
Alhaji Abdullahi expressed concern over unnecessary inflation of prices by dealers and retailers of essential commodities and advised them to fear Allah in all their engagements.
He acknowledged government’s gesture to the development of agriculture and provision of incentives to genuine farmers to ensuring food security.
On security, IMAN challenged government to wipe out criminals unleashing terror on the the masses regardless of their sponsors.
The Islamic Organization enjoined security operatives to be proactive in eliminating the miscreants instead of reactive to the carnage being committed.
Alhaji Abdullahi urged the Nigeria Police to hasten the action on approval given by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the recruitment of 50,000 Police Personnel to strengthen security in the land.
