AOB Foundation today splashed cash award of 500, 000 Naira to three schools that secured first, second and third positions in its just concluded Quiz and Debate Competition.
The Quiz and Debate Competition was organized by Founder of the Foundation, Aliyu Olamilekan Bello for Students of Secondary Schools in Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State.
After a keenly contested competition, Bollywilly College Ilorin emerged the winner after defeating Musab Islamic College came second.
United Secondary School clinched the third position among the 9 schools that participated in the competition.
Speaking at the event, the organizer and the convener of AOB foundation, Mallam Aliyu Olamilekan Bello described the competition tagged “A Win For Us” is first of its kind as more than an academic contest but represents a grassroots movement aimed at shaping a brighter future for Kwara State and Nigeria.
Mr Bello emphasized that investment in young people is a responsibility that cannot be ignored.
He recalled an encounter with a young boy in Taiwo Isale whose determination to become a leader strengthened his resolve to support children regardless of their background.
The other schools that participated are Government Day Secondary School, Gaa Akanbi, United Community Secondary School, Sango Senior Secondary School, Sheikh Abdul salaam Secondary School, Ansarul Islam Secondary School, Government Day Secondary School Tanke.
