Food items and cash were today distributed to 2000 Kwarans in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan by Senior Special Adviser, Special Duties to the Minister of Youth Development, Hon. Yakub Tunde Ajadi-Prudent.
The disbursement of the food package which took place in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital, attracted members of All Progressives Congress APC members and loyalists in Kwara State.
Distributing the food package and cash to the beneficiaries, Honourable, Yakub Tunde Ajadi Prudent said the gesture is geared towards complementing Governor Abdulrahman Abdulwahab giant strides in the state.
Hon. Ajadi-Prudent noted that the Ramadan package distribution is an annual event which started four years ago to reach out the people at the grassroots.
He promised that the gesture would continue after the holy Ramadan to alleviate the sufferings of the less privileged in the society.
The Aide to Youth Development Minister applauded Governor Abdulrazaq’s people-centred projects in uplifting the living standards of the masses.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries and Coordinator of Prudent Yakub Babatunde Ajadi Solidarity Movement, Oriyomi Abdulquadir Yusuf from Balogun Fulani Ward 1 of Ilorin South Local Government explained that Hon Ajadi-Prudent benevolence cut across all 16 Local Government Areas of Kwara State.
Similarly, another Coordinator from Balogun Fulani Ward 3 Habeebullahi Hussain described Hon Ajadi-Prudent as Godsent responsive to the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
The Annual Ramadan Package Distribution was laced with symbolic presentations to the beneficiaries by the donor, Hon Yakub Tunde Ajadi-Prudent.
