DARUL-HIDAYYAH LECTURE: Dr Apaokagi Justifies Why Muslims Should Have Many Kids

Ilorin-based Islamic Scholar, Dr Ridwanullahi Apaokagi has justified why Muslims should have many children.
Dr Apaokagi made this known while speaking on the topic ” Child Spacing And Baby Breastfeeding: The View Of Islam” at the ongoing Ramadan Lectures organized by Darul-Hidayyah Centre in Ilorin.
He said having many children apart from being a prophetic tradition, it is a way of ensuring rest of mind of the parents.
According to him, Islam frowns at limiting family size , particularly when death is unpredictable.
The Cleric who is of University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, opined that having a large family is achievable despite economic challenges through strategic planning.
He described the decision of some Muslims to limit family size as total ignorant of Islamic jurisprudence.
He also recommended two years breastfeeding for newborns for healthy living and identified under breastfeeding as injurious to babies.
In his remark, Founder, Darul-Hidayyah Centre, Engineer Yasar Remilekun lauded the Guest Lecturer for his insightful submissions and tasked Muslims to heed the advice to achieve desired results.
Engineer Remilekun urged Muslim Ummah to always be of aid to underprivileged in the society to alleviate their sufferings.
Meanwhile, the lecture continues today with the topic ” Activities Of Last Ten Days Of Ramadan” to be delivered by Uztaz Usman Odore of Ridwanullahi Islamic Society of Nigeria RISEN beginning at half past four in the evening at Oloje, Ilorin.
