Commissioner for Tertiary Education in Kwara State, Hajia Sa’adatu Madibbo-Kawu has admonished Muslims to sustain their spiritual devotion and benevolence after the holy month of Ramadan.
Hajia Madibbo-Kawu gave this admonition while speaking at the Closing Ceremony of Annual Ramadan Lecture Series organized by Islamic Missionaries Association of Nigeria, IMAN in Ilorin.
Represented by the Director of Personnel, Finance and Supply of the Ministry, Mrs Balqees Salman, the Commissioner urged Muslim Ummah not to lower their spiritual tower after Ramadan fast to earn abundant rewards from Allah.
She applauded IMAN for its thought provoking Ramadan Lectures towards curbing moral decadence in the society and charged participants to imbibe the lessons of the lectures.
In his remark, Retired Grand Khadi, Kwara State Shariah Court of Appeal, Ilorin Justice Salihu Olohuntoyin Muhammad noted that the Ramadan lecture was initiated to correct social ills in the society.
Justice S.O Muhammad eulogized the Executive Members of IMAN under the leadership of Alhaji Abdullahi Nurudeen-Adana for keeping the flag flying.
Earlier, National Chairman of IMAN, Alhaji Abdullahi Nurudeen-Adana appreciated those who contributed to this year’s Ramadan Lectures particularly the participants and guest lecturers that featured from the beginning to the end.
Also, Vice Chairman of IMAN, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi briefed the gathering on the progress made so far on the construction of IMAN auditorium and expressed the hope that the edifice would be completed before next year’s Ramadan.
Alhaji Abdullahi expressed profound gratitude to the Chairman, Board of Trustees of IMAN and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Professor Yusuf Olaolu Ali supporting the Islamic Organization in raising funds for IMAN auditorium.
The Closing Ceremony was attended by eminent personalities including Emir of Ilorin Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu-Gambari represented by the Galadima Ngeri of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambari Bolaji.
Highpoints of the events were recitation of glorious Quran, goodwill messages and reading of Communique by Dr Idris Agbabiaka.
