Qur’an memorizer from Kwara State, Uthman Uthman Ayinde has emerged 3rd position winner in complete Qur’an memorization competition in the Egyptian International Qur’an Recitation Competition held in Cairo.
Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi presented prize to the Kwara born scholar.
Leading Member of Kwara State Committee on National Qur’an Recitation, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim announced this cheering news on behalf of the Committee while rejoicing with the International Award Winner, Uthman Uthman Ayinde who hails from Oke-Ode, Ifelodun Local Government of the state.
Alhaji Abdullahi noted that Uthman Uthman Ayinde’s success was borne out of Kwara State Government’s commitment through the State Committee on National Qur’an Recitation Competition chaired by the Elder Statesman and Danmadami of Ilorin, Alhaji Shehu Abdulgafar.
He recalled that the Uthman Uthman Ayinde emerged overall winner in the state Qur’an memorization competition and described his triumph as a pride to Kwara and Nigeria at large.
Alhaji Abdullahi commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his special interest in the state Committee on National Qur’an Recitation Competition through provision of financial and moral support to Committee.
He hinted the Qur’an Committee plans to lead the International Winner to His Excellency the State Executive Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and His Royal Highness the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu-Gambari as soon as he returns to the Country for homage to them for doing the State proud.
