Mega Rally was today held by the All Progressives Congress APC in Ilorin Kwara Capital in support of Kwara-North for Kwara State Governor.
Four Governorship Aspirants from Kwara-North Senatorial District under the platform of All Progressives Congress APC were in attendance
The Kwara-North aspirants include Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Engineer Yakub Danlad Salihu, Senator representing Kwara-North, Senator Sadiq Sulaiman Umar, Makama Lafiagi, Tajudeen Audu.
The rally which took place at Metropolitan Square attracted party faithfuls across the 16 Local Government Area.
Speaking on behalf of Kwara-North women, Commissioner for Environment in the state, Hajia Nafisah Musa Buge the call for power shift to Kwara-North is not political but moral necessity.
Hajia Buge urged other Senatorial Districts to rise above political bias and support power shift to Kwara-North for Justice equity and equity.
Also Speaking, Lawmaker representing Edu-Patigi-,Moro Federal Constituency, House of Representatives, Hon Adamu Saba has charged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to midwife the process of shifting Gubernatorial seat to Kwara-North in 2027 general elections
Hon Saba described President Tinubu as the father of all and urged him to work with party stakeholders in the state for Kwara-North to emerge as the next helmsman of the state
as the zone is blessed with quality aspirants capable of consolidating on the achievements of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
He appealed to Kwara Central and South to demonstrate spirit of brotherhood to support Kwara North to produce next Governor in 2027 General Elections.
In his remark, Emir of Lafiagi, Alhaji Muhammad Kudu Kawu said all necessary consultations have been held across the state to garner support for Kwara-North Governorship.
Alhaji Kudu-Kawu said the Kwara-North is united having produced bloc votes for winning Governors in the state and submitted that the Senatorial District is committed to political stability of the state and returned Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for second term against their own son, Abdullahi Yaman in the last election.
