1,714 Pilgrims To Perform 2026 Hajj From Kwara- Board

Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has disclosed that a total number of 1,714 pilgrims will perform this year’s Hajj from the state.

The Board’s Secretary, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkadir made this disclosure while featuring on Radio Programme tagged ‘Oro-Ilu’ on Sobi FM, on Wednesday.

He further explained that arrangement is on top gear to ensure a hitch-free exercise by ensuring that all intending pilgrims are airlifted on time.

According to him, Visas are ready, and accommodation in Saudi Arabia is secured, Bags and other Hajj materials are all on ground while the Board will receive the BTA of their intending Pilgrims next week.

Alhaji Abdulkadir said the National Hajj Commission had fixed May 3rd for the inaugural flight nationwide, while Kwara pilgrims would be airlifted in three batches, starting from May 6th, then May 7th, and May 9th with Max airline.

He therefore, appealed to all intending pilgrims to keep their permit Access Card safely.

The Board’s Scribe also informed that an enlightenment program for pilgrims would come up this Sunday, April 19th, 2026, beginning from 10:00am prompt, to be presided over by the Imam Imale of Ilorin, Sheikh Abdullahi Abdulhamid.

The Grand Khadi of Kwara State Shariah Court of Appeal, Justice Abdullateef Kamaldeen, would also address pilgrims on April 26th, 2026 for the second enlightenment program.

Alhaji Abdulkadir therefore appealed to all intending pilgrims to attend both enlightenment programmes prompt as rules and guidelines of hajj would be discussed extensively.

The Executive Secretary also informed that this year’s Hajj Fare for Kwara State intending pilgrims as announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Abuja, is a sum of N 7,750,000,00(Seven Millions and Seven Hundred Thousand naira only)

He added that whoever that paid a sum of N8,500,000,00(Eight Millions and five Hundred Thousand naira only) as it was earlier announced by the Board on Radio should please come for a refund with immediate effects with evidence of their payments.

Alhaji Abdulkadir emphasized that the refund would not be paid to a third parties except for real owner and the names that appears on the original receipts.
