Mutawali of Ilorin, Dr. Alimi AbdulRazaq, has felicitated with the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on the occasion of his birthday, praising his enduring leadership and commitment to peace and unity in the Ilorin Emirate.
In a goodwill message today, Dr AbdulRazaq described the Emir as a revered monarch whose reign continues to exemplify wisdom, dignity and a deep sense of responsibility to his people.
He said the Emir has remained a custodian of the Emirate’s cultural and religious heritage as his foresight and compassion have strengthened harmony and cohesion across the community.
According to him, the Monarch has been a pillar of stability and a guiding force whose leadership continues to inspire unity and progress within the Emirate and beyond.
Dr AbdulRazaq, who is the Managing Partner of A. Abdul-Razaq (SAN) & Co, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Nigeria, and an elected member of the Royal Institute of International Affairs, London.
He also serves on the board of First Bank Holdings as an independent non-executive director, alongside several other board memberships.
The Mutawali of Ilorin has held key national assignments, including Commissioner, Legal Licensing and Enforcement at the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Chairman of the National Iron Ore Mining Company, Itakpe, and member of the National Council on Privatisation.
A member of both the International Bar Association and the Nigerian Bar Association, AbdulRazaq is also the Founder and Chairman of Bridge House College, Ikoyi, Lagos.
He is the pioneer recipient of the Alumni Laureate Award of the University of Hull for legal scholarship and educational endowments, and is widely known for supporting charitable causes.
He commended the Emir’s fatherly role and contributions to societal development, saying his leadership has continued to foster mutual understanding among the people.
Dr AbdulRazaq prayed for the monarch’s continued good health, long life and divine grace to sustain his impactful reign.
