How Kwara Born Business Mogul, Hon. Darosa Transforms Lives

For decades, the Kwara State-born business mogul, Hon. Dr. Makanjuola Yahya Lanre Darosa, has positively impacted society, aiding the underprivileged and supporting the government to ensure better lives for all.

In a truly remarkable manner, Darosa, who serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Darosa Property Management and Construction Limited, generously distributed cash, educational materials, sewing machines, and much more to community members.

This gesture was made in commemoration of the 10th anniversary remembrance prayer for his late father, Alhaji Abdullahi Bolaji Ajao Darosa (Surveyor), and his own birthday.

Individuals from diverse backgrounds, each afflicted by various ailments, benefited from the humanitarian gesture extended by the former aspirant of the Ilorin West Local Government Council.

Darosa, widely celebrated as a philanthropist, empowered small-scale traders with cash grants to enhance their businesses.

He also organized a free medical outreach that included malaria and diabetes screenings, provided complimentary prescription glasses, and offered other essential treatments.

Artisans equally benefited from the Darosa Empowerment Scheme, receiving sewing machines, hair dryers, and makeup kits to support their trades.

In the education sector, Darosa made a significant impact on hundreds of students by distributing over 5,000 exercise books, along with numerous school bags and lunch boxes.

A notable highlight of the event was the special-needs intervention: a brand-new wheelchair was donated to a physically challenged individual from the Idigba community, a gesture that garnered widespread applause.

Dr. Darosa, in his address to the press following the event held at the Darosa compound in Idigba, Ilorin, expressed his gratitude to God for the opportunity, describing his gesture as a testament to God’s faithfulness in his life.

He lamented the rapid rate at which people fall ill and succumb to ailments that should not claim lives, expressing his fulfillment in witnessing people recover and heal.

Highlights of the event included special prayers for his late father, Alhaji Surveyor Makanjuola Abdullah Ajao Bolaji Darosa, and also for the state Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, for God’s continuous protection upon him.

Darosa, widely recognized as a philanthropist, empowered petty traders with cash grants to boost their businesses.

He also organized a free medical outreach that covered malaria and diabetes screenings, provided free prescription glasses, and offered other essential treatments.

Artisans equally benefited from the Darosa Empowerment Scheme, receiving sewing machines dryers among others.

In the education sector, Darosa impacted hundreds of students by distributing over 5,000 exercise books, hundreds of school bags, and lunch boxes.

Another highlight of the event was the special-needs intervention: a brand-new wheelchair was donated to a physically challenged person from the Idigba community, a gesture that drew widespread applause.

“My gesture has no political undertones, I’m happy seeing people getting empowered, getting healed of their common ailment and becoming meaning persons in the society.

“We made the announcement on radio to hold this programme in honour of my late father and I’m overwhelmed by the number of people that turned up, many people benefited from our free medical care among others.

The event attracted a distinguished gathering of personalities, including government officials, Alh. Hon. Danmaigoro,SSA religion represented the Executive Governor, traditional leaders, political leaders, community stakeholders, spiritual fathers, and respected elders.

Notably, representatives of His Excellency, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq CON, were in attendance alongside other eminent dignitaries.

The event also captured the official launch of Darosa foundation. A foundation aimed at upholding the philanthropic legacies of late Alh. Surv. Makanjuola Abdullah Ajao Bolaji Darosa and a launch of his lifetime magazine.
