Dr Otubu Urges Govt To Integrate Acupuncture Into Mainstream Healthcare

Ilorin-based Acupuncturist, Dr Mashood Otubu has called on government at all levels to integrate acupuncture into mainstream healthcare for managing diverse ailments.

Dr Otubu made the call today while featuring on a Radio interactive Yoruba Programme “Gbagede Oro”.

He said the integration of acupuncture into the healthcare system would enable overwhelming majority of Nigerians have access to the treatment.

Dr Otubu confirmed that Acupuncture is capable curing all illnesses including malaria, high blood pressure, hypertension and stroke headache among others.

He pointed out that treatment in Acupuncture is devoid of drugs consumption and injections.

He urged Nigerians to take advantage of acupuncture for the treatment of ailments and advocated training of Nigerians on Acupuncture treatment to attract more expertise into healthcare subsector.

Dr Otubu recalled that Acupuncture treatment originated in China Five Thousand years ago and has been adopted by other advanced nations particularly United States.

Callers on the Programme advocated more awareness creation on Acupuncture for the benefit of the people and commended Dr Otubu for specializing on alternative medicine to cure diseases in the society.
