Nigerian Women, especially those from the North have been urged to unite and support each other with a view to ensuring their voices are heard, respected and included in shaping the future of the country.
A frontline gubernatorial aspirant and front runner for the Kwara 2027 Governorship race Mahalia-Aisha Ahman-Pategi made the call in Kaduna at the flag off of a Door-To-Door campaign organised by Arewa Women for Tinubu/Uba Sani, an initiative meant to support the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State.
The Kwara Governorship aspirant who had twice served as Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development and Special Duties respectfully in the state was addressing women leaders and other stakeholders gathered at the event.
She maintained that the engagement was not just about politics, but it was rather for a purpose aimed at ensuring the voices of Northern Women, Nigerian Women and beyond are heard, respected and included in shaping the future.
While appreciating the inclusive approach of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, she emphasized that women are the first leaders every child knows.
Mahalia Aisha Ahman-Pategi charged women in the north to stand together and guide against all forms of division saying their common vision for peace, empowerment, opportunity and a better future for the children should be their guiding principles going forward.
She noted that the time to support and uplift one another as well as make history together is now.
