JUST IN: KWASU Loses Governing Council Chairman, Prof. Ambali

Chairman Governing Council, Kwara State University, Malete and Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor AbdulGaniyu Ambali, OON, is dead.

This is contained in a statement by the family in Ilorin.

He died today at the age of 68.

Prof. Ambali was the 9th substantive Vice Chancellor of UNILORIN died last night

Colleagues and associates prayed that Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and grant his family, friends, colleagues, and the entire university community the fortitude to bear the loss.

Prof. Ambali served as UNILORIN Vice Chancellor from 2012 to 2017.

He was honoured with the national award of Officer of the Order of the Niger, OON.

Meanwhile, Janazah for the late Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor AbdulGaniyu Ambali, will hold at 4:00 PM today at his residence located along Air Force Road, Oloje Estate, Ilorin.
