Terrorism: Media Group Hails Rescues Of 400 Borno Victims

A Non-Governmental Organization, Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria has commended the Nigerian Military and the Federal Government for rescuing this week over 400 victims of terrorism in Borno who have been languishing in den of terrorists for nearly 100 days.

In a Press Statement released today and jointly signed by the National Coordinator of the Group Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi and the National Secretary Dr. Nasir Balogun, the Group described the rescuing of the abductees as commendable and reassuring that others suffering from the same fate will soon get their freedom.

Commenting on the viral video circulated in which victims of Oyo State kidnapping denied that the terrorists were demanding the establishment of Sharia Law and N1 Billion ransom, the Group stated that that denial by the victims led by Mrs Racheal Alamu further exposed Fake-News purveyors who continue to demonstrate their hatred for Islam and the Muslims by concucting such false narration to blackmail Islam.

It explained that their devilish efforts set Christians against Muslims would continue to fail and they would be shamed.

According to Madam Racheal Alamu who is the wife of a Professor in Oyo State, the terrorists never demanded money, transportation logistics nor force them to practice Islam; rather they are demanding for the release of their leaders arrested since last year.

The Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria therefore called on the Federal Government to intensify their efforts in getting the innocent children, their Teachers and Principal who are in captivity released for the sake of humanity as report of some of the abductees falling sick and that some of them might loose their lives is terrifying…

The Group therefore appealed for early negotiation to free the innocent victims as non-kinetic approach would prevent causality and collateral damages that usually feature in military action.

On purveyors of Fake-News, the Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria, described their incursion into criminal activities by peddling falsehood and Fake-News of what terrorists did not demand

The Islamic Organization pointed that in Islam there is no compulsion in religion’ as Sharia is already in practice in Nigeria while in the South West Muslims are still running their Sharia Council without any inhibition whatsoever…

While commending the Federal Government on its war against all criminalities in this Country, the Group appealed for the fast-tracking of rescuing efforts for Oyo State victims and all others across the Country.
