Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria has congratulated the new Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki on his well deserved appointment.
The Group consisting of Muslim Journalists, Mass Communicators and intellectuals of other fields of human endeavours, commended the Emir of Ilorin Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari for making the right choice at the right time
It pointed out that Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki is a well-educated Islamic scholar and distinguished Islamic Propagator who would bring his knowledge and experience to bear in his new office.
In a Press Statement signed and released by the National Coordinator of the Group Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi in Ilorin today,
the Group charged the new Chief Imam as the Leader of Islamic Scholars in Kwara State to ensure that unity of the muslim Ummah, Islamic brotherhood of Islamic and Muslim Scholars in Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole to tops his Agenda, so that Muslims in the State could witness a new dawn of Islamic knowledge, awareness, progress and development.
The Media Group called on the new Chief Imam to prioritize special spiritual devotion ‘from time to time’ for Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole over the insecurity problems facing the Country as well as the forthcoming General Elections so that peace, stability and progress could henceforth prevail in the Country.
The Islamic Body also called on all Muslim Scholars in Ilorin Emirate to rally-round the new Chief Imam for his overall success and prayed for his long-life, sound health and abundant prosperity.
