Kwara United Queens have commenced camping ahead of the new Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Nationwide season, with players arriving in camp as preparations intensify for their debut campaign.
The team resumed full training last Monday, holding two sessions aimed at improving fitness and tactical readiness ahead of the new season.
According to the training schedule, the morning session began at 7:00 a.m., while the afternoon session took place at 3:30 p.m. at the George Innih Stadium, Ilorin, Kwara State.
Under the supervision of the club’s technical crew, the players engaged in jogging, shuttle runs, ball recovery drills, and other fitness exercises.
The Chairman of the Club, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Owolabi Wopa, was also present to observe the training session.
Speaking after training, Wopa expressed satisfaction with the team’s preparations, stating that all necessary arrangements had been put in place to ensure a successful pre-season.
He urged the players to embrace discipline, unity, commitment, and teamwork, stressing that these values would be vital to achieving success in the forthcoming league campaign.
The Club is set to make its debut in the upcoming NWFL Nationwide season as it seeks to establish itself among Nigeria’s top women’s football teams.
More players are expected to arrive in camp, while training will continue on Tuesday as the team intensifies preparations for the new football season.
