Arising from the remarkable Nigeria Infrastructure Conference (INFRACON 1.0) organised by the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) in Abuja, a Chinese trade delegation has embarked on a series of working visits to key federal government institutions to explore investment opportunities across local processing, manufacturing, energy, automobiles, agribusiness, and other critical sectors.

The delegation was led on the visits by the Consul-General of Nigeria in Guangzhou, Amb. Mairo Musa Abbas, who facilitated their participation in the high-level infrastructure conference held on July 14 and 15, 2026. Also part of the visits were NACCIMA executives including the National Vice President, Hon. Ahmed Rabiu, who represented the National President, Engr. Jani Ibrahim; National Public Relations Officer, Mrs Madinat Adigun-Oladotun; Special Adviser to the National President, Mr. Sulaiman Adoga; and NACCIMA China Relations Executive, Arc. Zakirudeen Oladotun.

The federal institutions visited include the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas and Electric Vehicles (Pi-CNG & EV), the Nigeria Commodity Exchange (NCX), the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA), and the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership (NCSP).

The Chinese delegation held strategic engagements aimed at identifying viable investment opportunities and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.

The delegation said their findings affirm Nigeria as a vital market on the African continent, expressing their readiness to establish, in partnership with government and indigenous private investors, different business ventures that will help stimulate the local economy, accelerate industrialisation, ensure technology transfer and create job opportunities.

Amb. Mairo Abbas noted that the Chinese business leaders represent influential business groups and associations in China, with the capacity to mobilise greater investments into Nigeria with their extensive networks.

Heads of the various federal institutions welcomed the Chinese business delegation, highlighted the vast opportunities inherent in Nigeria, and pledged to work with NACCIMA to provide necessary guidance and support for successful investments.

The engagements underscore the crucial role NACCIMA is playing in positioning Nigeria for foreign direct investments, rapid industrialisation, and sustainable economic development.
