FadaQa Launches FSP 2.0 to Equip Young Africans with Job-Ready Digital Skills
FadaQa Tech Empowerment Initiative, founded and led by Opeloyeru Tope Batly, has launched FSP 2.0, the second edition of its Tech Scholarship Program, building on the momentum of its first cohort to equip even more students, graduates, career switchers, and NYSC corps members with practical, job-ready digital skills.
Following the success of FSP 1.0, Batly said the decision to scale into a second cohort was driven by the demand and impact the first program created, and by FadaQa’s commitment to giving more young people direct access to free, structured tech training that leads to real income and financial independence.
Beneficiaries will be trained across four tracks: Data Analysis, Product Design, Product Management, and Branding and Digital Marketing.
Program Structure
FSP 2.0 is a three-month, fully virtual program combining live classes, hands-on assignments, and real project building designed to mirror actual work in the industry. Every participant builds a portfolio they can show to employers and clients, and the program includes a dedicated LinkedIn visibility session to help participants position themselves for gigs, internships, jobs, and client work.
Beyond the technical training, participants go through a career readiness session to prepare them for the job market. Opportunity placement support is also available to top-performing talents, based on available opportunities at the time.
On completion, beneficiaries also join FadaQa’s alumni community, a space for continued collaboration, networking, and connection with like-minded peers across the tracks and cohorts.
The program closes with a compulsory capstone presentation, where participants showcase what they have built, followed by a certificate of completion.
Who Can Apply
FSP 2.0 is open to youths aged 18 to 35 in any African country, including:
– Students still in school
– Recent graduates
– Career switchers
– NYSC corps members preparing for life after service

FSP 2.0 will offer 500 scholarship slots across the four tracks to youths aged 18 to 35 in any African country. Applications are open through FadaQa’s official website, application form, and social media pages.
Batly said both FSP 1.0 and FSP 2.0 have been entirely founder-funded, reflecting her personal commitment to closing the digital skills gap for young Africans. She added that FadaQa remains open to partnerships and support that can help the organization amplify its reach and impact more young people across the continent.
