Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Lagos has awarded the Director General of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Engr. Sola Obadimu, for his outstanding contributions to the growth of Nigeria-China economic relations and trade cooperation.
The Chinese Consulate noted that Engr. Obadimu has been committed to deepening the relationship between China and Nigeria since his assumption of office as NACCIMA DG in 2022.
The Consulate also lauded the role NACCIMA is playing as a vital bridge between the Federal Government of Nigeria and the private sector, as well as international investors and partners.
The award, titled Friendship Contribution Award, was presented to the NACCIMA DG at the 77th National Day reception hosted by the Consulate in Lagos.
The chief host was the outgoing Consul-General, Her Excellency Yan Yuqing. Also in attendance were the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu; Secretary to the State Government (Lagos), Barr. Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin; President, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Engr. Leye Kupoluyi; Director General, LCCI, Dr. Chinyere Almona; Director, Chinese Confucius Institute University of Lagos, Prof. Wu Shuang; among other dignitaries.
The Chinese Consulate also appreciated Engr. Obadimu’s active support for exchange platforms.
