Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) and the Organised Private Sector of Nigeria (OPSN) have mourned the 32 persons who died in the Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash near Igbokoda, Ondo State.
The aircraft crashed on Monday, October 5, 2026, in what has been described as a major national tragedy.
In a condolence message, the National President of NACCIMA and Chairman of OPSN, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, mni, OON, commiserated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Nigerian Air Force over the incident.
Engr. Ibrahim conveyed the condolences on behalf of the two organisations to President Tinubu, who is the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to him, the entire organised private sector stands in solidarity with the President and the Armed Forces at this difficult time.
The NACCIMA boss also extended sympathies to the families of the victims, the Chief of the Air Staff, officers and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force, and all those affected by the crash.
He prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved families and for the peaceful repose of the souls of the departed.
NACCIMA and OPSN also commended first responders and all personnel involved in the emergency response efforts.
