Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) today hosted the Ambassador of Ukraine to Nigeria, His Excellency Ivan Kholostenko.

The strategic visit was aimed at exploring opportunities for stronger economic cooperation between Nigeria and Ukraine.

The meeting, held in Abuja, represents an important step towards deepening diplomatic and business relations between both countries.

According to NACCIMA, the engagement is geared towards fostering private-sector partnerships and creating new opportunities for trade, investment and industrial development.

Discussions during the visit focused on areas of mutual economic interest, including agriculture and food processing, manufacturing, technology transfer, energy and infrastructure.

The Association said these sectors have the potential to deliver sustainable economic benefits to both nations if properly harnessed.

NACCIMA noted that it recognises the importance of economic diplomacy in connecting Nigerian businesses with international markets and attracting foreign direct investment.

Through the engagement, the Association seeks to facilitate meaningful connections between Nigerian entrepreneurs and Ukrainian businesses.

This will include encouraging business-to-business cooperation, trade missions, investment forums and strategic partnerships to promote Nigerian non-oil exports and support small and medium-sized enterprises.

NACCIMA added that it remains committed to working with the Embassy of Ukraine, relevant government institutions and business stakeholders to translate diplomatic engagements into practical commercial outcomes for both countries.
