National Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Hajiah Madinat Adigun-Oladotun, has paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy National Chairman (North) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, on Wednesday evening in Abuja.
During the visit, Mrs Adigun-Oladotun explained the mandate of NACCIMA as the voice of the Nigerian business community to the governing party leader, while taking him through some of the activities of the Association, especially in the last two years under the leadership of Engr. Jani Ibrahim, mni, OON.
She noted the crucial engagements NACCIMA has been holding with key government agencies, the diplomatic community, and international investors to expand support for Nigerian business owners and enhance the country’s economy.
“NACCIMA under our National President, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, mni, OON, is actively in support of the 1 trillion dollar economy by 2030 agenda of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. We believe the right support and a more conducive environment for businesses can take us to that level. That’s why our Association has been working very closely with key government agencies like the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment; Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Nigeria Investment Promotion Council (NIPC); Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC); NITDA; Bank of Industry; Bank of Agriculture; among others,” she said.
“We have also been strengthening our business relations with several countries and international investors. Apart from visiting various embassies and paying host to Ambassadors of foreign missions in Nigeria, we also participate in events that seek to boost the economic cooperation between Nigeria and other countries of the world.”
The NACCIMA PRO used the platform to inform Hon. Dalori of the NACCIMA B2B Investment Forum that will hold in Guangzhou, China on November 2nd, noting it is a high-level platform with which the Association seeks to support the Nigerian government to attract foreign direct investment and project the huge economic potential of the country and its states.
Mrs Adigun-Oladotun called for support from the ruling party leader, saying “we want you to further advocate NACCIMA in rooms that matter.”
She particularly emphasised support for local production and Nigerian businesses, highlighting the ‘Nigeria First’ advocacy of the Association.
For his part, Hon. Dalori commended the efforts of NACCIMA in complementing the government to boost trade, investment, and productivity.
He mentioned the various incentives the President Tinubu administration has offered to businesses, while noting that more could be achieved.
The APC National Deputy Chairman welcomed the visit by the Association’s Public Relations Officer, and pledged necessary moral support.
