Community Engagement Strategic Initiative (CESI) Team, representing the Civil Society in Malaria Control, Immunization and Nutrition (ACOMIN) at the grassroots level, today, November 4, 2026, engaged Mr. Afolabi Bode on outstanding issues affecting the Owu health facility.
The engagement, conducted under the implementation of the Royal Heritage Health Foundation (RHHF), the implementing Community-Based Organisation (CBO), provided an opportunity to discuss some of the facility’s infrastructure needs, particularly the incomplete outpatient toilet and drainage challenges affecting parts of the facility’s perimeter fence.
Beyond infrastructural concerns, the team also sensitised him on the importance of regular health check-ups to ascertain his status regarding HIV, malaria and tuberculosis (TB). The discussion emphasised the importance of early testing and timely access to healthcare services.
The team further informed him that drugs for the treatment of these conditions are available free of charge at the health facility, encouraging him to take advantage of the available services and share the information within the community.
