Islamic Cleric, Dr Khidr Onagun has advised Muslim faithful to desist from derogatory utterances.

Dr Onagun gave the advice while delivering a lecture on the topic “The Study Of Hadith 29 Of Anawawwi Collection” at the ongoing Ramadan Lectures organized by Darul-Hidayyah Centre Ilorin.

He noted that such outbursts if left unchecked are capable of igniting crisis as Allah frowns at anyone fanning the embers of discord.

He tasked them not to associate partnership with Allah to insulate them against his severe punishment.

The Islamic Scholar enumerated divergent instances connoting association of partnership with Allah as contained in Qur’an and Hadith and charged Muslims to familiarize themselves Islamic Monotheism.

On Zakat, the Dr Onagun expressed dismay that majority of affluent Muslims are paying little or no Zakat to the indigent people and encouraged them to turn a new leaf to reduce poverty to lowest ebb.
