IMAN LECTURE: Islamic Scholar Identifies Solat Bedrock Of Worship

Islamic Scholar, Imam Yakub Onikangu-Al-Adabbiyy has identified observance of five daily obligatory solat as the bedrock of worshipping Almighty Allah.

Imam Onikangu-Al-Adabbiyy dropped this hint while delivering a lecture on the topic ” Significance Of Regular And Timely Observance Of Five Daily Prayers ” at the ongoing Ramadan Lecture Series organized by Islamic Missionaries Association of Nigeria IMAN in Ilorin.

The Islamic Cleric who is of Ansarul-Islam Society of Nigeria described the obligatory prayers as one of the pillars of Islam mandatory for Muslims irrespective of social status, colour or creed.

According to him, solat is the most differenciator between belief and disbelief in Islam.

He stated that any good deed by Muslims without solat would not be accepted by Allah and cautioned them against neglecting solat for worldly affairs.

Imam Onikangu-Al-Adabbiyy who demonstrated proper way of observing solat submitted that Muslims not prioritizing the obligatory prayers would be severely delt with by Allah.

Imam Onikangu-Al-Adabbiyy therefore urged them to always observe their solat as at when due as enshrined in the Qur’an and Hadith to receive Allah’s blessings.

Meanwhile, the lecture continues today with the topic ” The Muslim Woman And Her Responsibilities” to be delivered by University of Ilorin Muslim Ladies Circle at IMAN Centre New Yidi Road Ilorin beginning at half past four in the evening.
