The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture on Friday made a direct pitch to Chinese investors to tap into Nigeria’s market, during a meeting with the Guangzhou Modern Information Service Industry Association.
NACCIMA National President, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, led the delegation to meet GZMISA executives on May 1, 2026.
The talks came days after the NACCIMA Business and Investment Forum at the Crowne Plaza Window of Canton Hotel, which GZMISA leaders also attended.
The meeting focused on areas of mutual interest to deepen Nigeria-China bilateral relations. GZMISA is composed of entrepreneurs, industry representatives, experts, and scholars with international experience.
It works to integrate resources and promote exchanges in economy, trade, culture, science, and technology, especially with Belt and Road countries.
Engr. Ibrahim described NACCIMA as the ideal partner for GZMISA to enter the Nigerian market, which he called a gateway to Africa.
According to him, NACCIMA covers over 100 chambers in every city, state, and sector.
He said Nigeria is expanding rapidly and urged Chinese investors to leverage opportunities across sectors.
Nigeria’s Consul-General in Guangzhou, Amb. Mairo Musa Abbas, attended the meeting with her team. She pledged to work with stakeholders in Guangzhou to drive investments to Nigeria, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s $1 trillion economy target.
The Consulate, she said, would keep highlighting investment opportunities for the Chinese business community.
He noted the huge opportunities for trade, industrial cooperation, and business exchange.
She said GZMISA would work with NACCIMA to achieve mutual objectives and greater industrialisation in both countries.
Executive President James Yang and other GZMISA officials were also present.
The NACCIMA delegation included ILECCIMA President, Mr. Peterson Timothy; BOCCIMA First Deputy President, Alhaji Goni Dunoma; NACCIMA China Relations Executive, Arc. Zakirudeen Oladotun; NACCIMA National PRO, Mrs. Madinat Adigun-Oladotun; former KWACCIMA President, Mr. Fatai Ayodimeji; and a representative of the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission.
After the meeting, the delegates toured two showrooms at the Guangzhou Autoworld Export Base, one of several businesses under GZMISA.
NACCIMA said the visit, along with earlier industrial tours in Guangzhou, gave delegates broader insight into business processes and investment opportunities.
