The Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State have lost one of their finest activists, a great community leader, and a courageous voice of the people.
Kwara-born activist and labour leader, Comrade Bolakale, popularly known as CB, was a man of conviction, courage, and service to humanity. He was a community leader and a committed member of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), whose life was dedicated to standing for justice, fairness, and the rights of the ordinary people.
CB was not merely an activist; he was a mentor, teacher, community leader, and foremost voice for the masses. Through his selfless contributions, he touched many lives and played a significant role in the development of our community.
My pen is heavy and almost dry as I write these words with deep sorrow. His death has created a huge vacuum that will be difficult to fill. One cannot help but ask: Who will stand in the gap and speak with the courage, conviction, and passion that defined Comrade Bolakale?
His memory deserves to be immortalised by our community leaders, the Ilorin Emirate, and Kwara State at large. His contributions, struggles, sacrifices, and commitment to the people must never be forgotten.
You were indeed a great hero, a champion of the masses, a people’s voice, a comrade, and a fine activist. Your life was a testimony to the power of courage and service to humanity.
May Almighty Allah forgive your shortcomings, grant you Jannatul Firdaus, and make your good deeds a source of eternal reward.
May Almighty Allah also grant your family, friends, comrades, and the entire community the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

Your voice may be silent, but your legacy will continue to speak.
