KWSIEC Chair, Okanla Baba to feature on Kwara NUJ 43rd Media Parliament

The Chairman, Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC), Mr Okanla Baba, is billed to speak at the 43rd Media Parliament of Kwara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) holding in Ilorin, the state capital.

The Media Parliament Themed ” Credible polls: A sine qua non for good governance in Kwara Local Governments” will hold Wednesday 18th September, 2024 at NUJ Press Centre, Offa Road, GRA, Ilorin at 02:00pm.

A statement issued in Ilorin by the Chairman and Secretary of Kwara NUJ Media Parliament Committee, Fatimah Rasheed and Sodiq Adebara respectively, said the theme of the event was conceived to promote fair and credible elections as the state prepares for Local Government Elections, scheduled for September 21st, 2024.

The statement added that the media parliament would avail the Guest Speaker an opportunity to interact with journalists on the preparedness of the commission toward the forthcoming local government polls in the state.

The statement urged NUJ members across the Chapels to prepare adequately for the event and attend promptly.
