Kwara State Government has unveiled the prototype of the N240 million Ultramodern Shonga Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) hub being constructed by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, in Shonga, Edu Local Government Area of the state
A Statement by the Senior Special Assistant, New Media to the Governor, Olayinka Fafoluyi said the contract awarded to Skylat-One Nigeria Ltd., Adeboyega Akinwumi, the multimillion naira Shonga ICT centre is one of the several legacy projects of Governor Abdulrazaq, the state government would release their prototypes as their construction commenced.
Completing the state-of-the-art Shonga ICT hub wouldn’t only enhance the educational system in the Edu Local Government Area but also significantly impact the local economy and create job opportunities for the people of Shonga and their neighbouring communities.
According to the statement, the announcement of the commencement of the N240 million Shonga ICT came less than a month after Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq pledged to expedite the completion of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) tech hub at its 2024 annual conference.
Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has been receiving commendations from sons and daughters of the State of Harmony for his several developmental projects in the state and meaningful contributions to the IEDPU tech hub and recently awarded Shonga ICT hub.
