Kwara State Police Command has arrested a Cleric, Mohammad Abdulrahman for been in possession of one Hafsoh human parts.
Investigation by Dailysource revealed that the suspect apprehended initially denied any knowledge of Hafsoh’s whereabouts.
This investigation led them to an individual residing in the Ofa Garage district of Ilorin, although his family home is in Isalekuto.
However, during a search of his residence, he confessed that she had died from an asthma attack after he had called her to come over.
Tragically, the police later discovered Hafsoh’s body dismembered and hidden in a bowl, along with tools used in the dismemberment.
Hafsoh was a final-year student at the Kwara State College of Education in Ilorin.
Dailysource also confirmed that the suspect reportedly met her through Facebook, where he obtained her phone number through pretence and invited her over.
Disturbingly, evidence found in the suspect’s home suggests this may not be his first offense as a table in his room contained tools typically used for dismemberment.
The investigation is ongoing at the Kwara State Police Headquarters, and further information will be provided as it becomes available, including pictorial and video evidence.
Notably, the suspect is the son of a well-known cleric from Isalekoto, Ilorin.
This medium gathered that on Monday, February 10, 2025, Lawal Hafsoh Yetunde went missing while attending a naming ceremony.
Reports indicate that the victim Hafsoh received a call from a friend, prompting her to drop her food and leave the event.
Since then, her family and friends have been searching for her without any leads.
On Tuesday, her parents reported her disappearance to the Oja Oba Police Station in Ilorin.
The police quickly took action, requesting her phone number to track her last call.
The suspect is currently in custody at the Police Headquarters in Ilorin.
